  3. <hi style=afpcap>Most of the developmental work on the Air Force's lethal B-2 stealth bomber was carried out at Edwards AFB, California, where this ship is making a landing. The crew/payload section of the aircraft, which is as close as the B-2 comes to having a fuselage, starts aft of the apex of the wing, ends short of the wing trailing edge, and is smoothly blended on the upper surfaces of the wing. The crew compartment provides side-by-side seating for two crew members, both pilots, seated in Douglas-designed, Weber-built ACES II (Advanced Concept Ejection Seats).</hi>
